Focus of Alabaster Ministry

 

She walked into the room, eyes focused on the figure reclining at the table.  She moved cautiously, anticipating their smirks, indignation and disapproving glances.  She did not let that deter her.  The whispers, “who does she think she is?”  Why is she here?  Does she not know that she should not be in here?  Still the woman moved on through the room.  She finally approaches the figure reclining at the table. When she does, she breaks a jar of very precious ointment and the rest is history - memorial that will be told of her love until the ends of the earth.  What Mary did for Jesus that day was the most precious gesture that anyone had ever lavished upon the Son of God. 

 

In the Book of Isaiah 61: 1-3, the Prophet foretold what the coming of our Lord would mean for the believers.  Also, in Luke 4: 18-19, Jesus takes the scroll, stands as is the custom and reads this scripture in the temple as he spoke to the congregation. Nestled in the scriptures are the words. “He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to bless the poor, to set the captives free, and release the prisoners.

 

The Alabaster Ministry will focus on providing hope, salvation, comfort and deliverance for the brokenhearted, the poor and the captives through the Word of God.  Just as Mary act of love for our Lord was displayed with the Anointing at Bethany, I pray that the Alabaster Ministry will bring the healing and deliverance you may need through the Word of God.
